Where culture meets creative work

Halele’a Consultants LLC is a creative, culturally based consultancy on Kauaʻi. Branding and identity are at the heart of what we do: we help people, organizations and projects shape names, stories and visual identities that grow from Hawaiian culture and place, and we offer cultural guidance alongside that creative work.

Every project begins with listening: to the ʻāina, to the community and to the people we work with. From there we create with care, so that what we make honors where it comes from and serves what comes next.

Our own mark

The Halele’a identity

Our first branding project was our own. The Halele’a identity is drawn from the mountains above Hanalei Bay, in teal and gold line art, with a family of seals and marks for every use. It is shown here as an example of our approach, not as client work.

Why Halele’a

Rooted in the north shore of Kauaʻi

Haleleʻa is the traditional name of the moku (district) on Kauaʻi’s north shore that includes Hanalei, and it is often translated as “house of joy.” The mountains above Hanalei Bay in our logo are the heart of that place.

We carry that name as a reminder to work with aloha, humility and respect for the places and people we serve.
